They are certified commercially compostable, hold their shape for 4+ hours in hot and cold drinks, and contain no plastic lining or PFAS. Which size should you stock?
Most venues carry two: a regular straw for the bulk of their drinks and one specialist size for whatever they actually pour. Buying a size that does not suit the glass is the most common first-order mistake.
- Regular 6mm for coffees, juices, soft drinks and water — the size most venues buy first.
- Cocktail 6mm × 140mm for espresso martinis, spritzes and anything under about 250ml.
- Jumbo 8mm for smoothies, thickshakes and blended drinks with pulp.
- Bubble tea 12mm for pearls, wrapped for takeaway counters or unwrapped for dine-in.
